After accepting the ordeal, Yusuke goes meet Botan's boss, Koenma. Yusuke thinks that he is some big guy, but is surprised to see him as a toddler. He receives an egg that is called his ordeal. Yusuke then becomes confused about what he is supposed to do with the egg. Koenma then explains to Yusuke that whatever comes from it will determine his fate.
Afterwards, Yusuke needs to tell of those closest to him that he is coming back and needs their help. However, accomplishing this is a daunting task in of itself. His mother is an alcoholic and seems to go out frequently to drink with her friends. Kayko's whereabouts are not very well known. Kuwabara is busy playing games. However, Botan tells him that he can give his message, when humans are asleep. He does just that, but finds out that they thought it was just a dream.
Kayko, on the other hand, decides to tell Yusuke's mother about the dream she had about him.
Will Yusuke get his message delivered before preparations are made for his body to be cremated?
